That was disappointing. I'm going to keep it vague but I just had the opportunity to go back and revisit something. This thing was, I thought, always one of the best experiences I had ever had in that particular category. Well, not anymore.
Sigh, I'm getting old?
I don't know if it's because I'm a changed person, my standards have changed, or that technology governing that category of experiences has evolved. Maybe I didn't get enough time to see it in full back then. Regardless, there is not a drop of regret in my mind for "ruining" what was once a good memory. Better to know the truth.
This isn't exactly unique. It happens all the time. In fact, it happens quite often for me without having to literally relive the experience. There are numerous things that I did months or years ago that seemed like great ideas at the time. Now, I can't believe how stupid I was. Let's leave that for another day. Time to mourn the loss of $9.
